2000 Chateau Ste Anne Bandol Rouge

Château Sainte Anne is a 15 ha estate located in Bandol, one of Provence’s top appellations. Managed by Françoise Dutheil and her son Jean-Baptiste within a 5th generation winery, the Domaine has been a pioneer in the development of the Bandol Appellation and a founding member of the Association des Vins Naturels since the late 1970s. The estate employs natural winemaking techniques for its red wine production, including fermentation in stainless steel vats, extended oak aging, and minimal sulfur addition at bottling.

Farming

Fermentation

Red wines benefit from an 8–10 day temperature-controlled cuvaison and are fermented using natural, indigenous yeasts in stainless steel vats with minimal sulphite use until a final addition of 2g/hl at bottling.
 

Aging

Post-fermentation, reds undergo extended oak aging and mature for 18–24 months in old foudres.
