2012 Domaine Jean Vesselle Bouzy Rouge Coteaux Champenoise

This still red wine is produced exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes grown in the chalky soils of Bouzy, in the Coteaux Champenois appellation of the Champagne region. For nearly 300 years, the family‐owned Jean Vesselle winery has cultivated some of the best‐placed Pinot Noir vines on the Montagne de Reims, establishing a longstanding tradition of vineyard management that dates back to the 17th century. The wine is crafted as a vin clair—a non‐sparkling expression derived from the same estate vines used in the production of Champagne—reflecting both the unique terroir of Bouzy and historical winemaking practices that once served the French royal court.
