2016 Luigi Tecce Taurasi Riserva Poliphemo Vecchie Vigne

Luigi Tecce's Poliphemo is a Taurasi DOCG Aglianico from centenarian vines planted over 100 years ago by Luigi's grandfather in Campania, Italy. This Triple 'A' producer crafts one of Italy's most archaic and celebrated expressions of Taurasi, earning comparisons to legendary Bruno Giacosa and high praise from Italy's Espresso wine guide. The wine is organically farmed and fermented in traditional chestnut barrels, followed by long macerations in open vats and 24 months of aging in medium-sized barrels, resulting in a wine of great structure, concentration, and complexity.
