2017 Chateau de Miniere Bourgueil Rouge de Miniere

A savory and classic Bourgueil made from 100% Cabernet Franc grown organically on very old vines. The vineyard sits on historical Loire riverbed with limestone bedrock from the upper Turonian period, covered by a layer of Aeolian sand containing quartz and mica. Fermented over indigenous yeast in stainless steel with punch-downs and complete malolactic conversion, then aged for 4-6 months in stainless vats before bottling without fining but with light filtration. This concentrated wine shows a solid structure that is maturing well with plenty of life remaining.
