Just south of the road leading up to Bouze-lès-Beaune lies the Beaune premier cru of Les Avaux, where a relatively thin layer of topsoil reveals cracked chalky clay with many cailloux dotting the surface. This refined and elegant wine showcases balanced structure and harmonious tannins. The wine is gently structured and can be cellared for 8 to 12 years.
