2019 Keep Albarino "Lost Slough" California

This is the 10th vintage of an Albariño from Keep Wines, produced by husband and wife duo Jack Roberts and Johanna Jensen. The grapes are sourced from Lost Slough Vineyard in the Sacramento River Delta, Clarksburg, California, where the land was once below sea level, imparting distinctive briny minerality to the wine. The winemaking approach is notably unconventional, with barrel aging for nearly two years followed by two additional years in bottle before release. Keep Wines employs minimal intervention techniques with small quantities of SO2 and organic practices, creating old world-influenced wines with serious aging potential. 175 cases produced.
