2019 L'Austral Saumur-Puy-Notre Dame V

This cuvée parcellaire represents the final vintage from the Les Vigneaux parcel in Puy-Notre-Dame, Saumur, marking the end of an era before the site's sale and renaming. Made from 100% Cabernet Franc from vines planted in 1990 and biodynamically farmed for 20 years, the wine is produced half whole-bunch and half de-stemmed. Released without added sulphur after aging in bottle for over 1.5 years, it showcases the Australian influence L'Austral brought to Loire Valley winemaking traditions dating back to the monks of Fontevraud Abbey.
