2020 Albert Boxler Riesling Reserve

The Boxler name is synonymous with top-notch Alsatian wine, with regional roots dating back to 1673. Located in the Haut-Rhin, the family produces some of Alsace's most serious and ageworthy varietal white wines from distinct single-vineyard sites. This Riesling Reserve is sourced from declassified Grand Cru Sommerberg vines and neighboring plots on granite slopes, vinified traditionally by Jean Boxler. The estate practices organic and biodynamic farming and creates soil-specific bottles that showcase terroir and texture. The wine offers a more crisp, fresh, and approachable style while retaining the grandeur of Boxler's renowned cuvées. Boxler is one of Alsace's grand heavyweights, whose wines are usually rather difficult to come by, snatched up at release and often reserved for special occasions.
