2020 Apátsági Furmint

This white wine is produced exclusively from 100% Furmint cultivated in Somló’s premier, sun‐exposed vineyard sites—including the renowned Apátsági dűlő. The grapes, grown in a terroir with a long, documented winemaking history dating back a thousand years, are carefully selected at full maturity. Notably, the winemaker employs a later harvest strategy to optimize the intrinsic balance between natural high acidity and a subtle retention of residual sugar. The production process honors traditional techniques while incorporating modern innovations, ensuring that the character of Somló and its historical viticultural practices are clearly reflected in the wine’s formulation.
