2020 Artana Wines Rkatsiteli White Wine

A dry, skin-contact white wine from the village of Artana in Kakheti, Georgia, made from Rkatsiteli, one of Georgia's oldest grape varieties dating back to 3000 BC. Produced by young winemakers Anastasia and Mariam using biodynamic grapes from their inherited vineyard. The wine was fermented and aged in qvevri for 6 months on the skins following traditional Georgian winemaking methods, resulting in a tannic, structured white with an amber hue and complex character. This natural, raw wine shows great potential to develop more complexity with age.
