2020 Clos Siguier Les Camilles Cahors

A flagship cuvée that is 95% Malbec and 5% Tannat from 80-year-old vines planted in well-drained red clay and limestone terraces on steep limestone slopes. The wine defies the region's typically heavy style, offering a brighter, fruit-driven profile with lower alcohol and enhanced minerality. Amazingly fresh on the palate with ripe, powdery, silken tannins and a refreshing crushed gravel finish. A smooth, elegant wine that showcases a lighter, more delicate side of Cahors, notably different from typical overripe, heavily-oaked Malbecs. Can be enjoyed now or aged further.
