2020 Diego Contero Barolo

Diego Conterno's 2020 Barolo Del Comune di Monforte d'Alba is crafted from 100% Nebbiolo sourced from the Le Coste di Monforte vineyard in southern Barolo. The vineyards are arranged like an amphitheatre in the picturesque Piedmont landscape, where unique soils of clay, tuff, and calcareous marl impart structure, texture, minerality, and longevity. The winemaking features long, slow fermentation in cement followed by aging in Austrian oak barrels (botte grande) and cement tanks, resulting in an elegant, structured, and ageworthy Barolo.
