2020 Domaine Huards Cour-Cheverny Romo

Domaine des Huards, founded in 1846 and now in its 7th generation of the Gendrier family, has been certified biodynamic by Biodyvin since 1998. This 100% Romorantin comes from 30- to 40-year-old vines grown on calcareous clay soil over limestone in Cour-Cheverny, Loire Valley. The grapes are harvested within 850 meters of the winery. The wine is fermented with native yeast in stainless steel and aged 6-8 months on fine lees before bottling unfiltered with minimal sulfur added. An ageworthy example of this rare Loire grape variety.
