2020 Overnoy Cotes du Jura Chardonnay Cuvee Charmille

Guillaume Overnoy, nephew of the renowned Pierre Overnoy, produces this elegant Chardonnay from organically grown grapes in the Beaufort-Orbagna area of Côtes du Jura. The vines are planted on limestone soils (trias), which contribute to the wine's distinctive character. The grapes are vinified in whole bunches with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel vats, then matured for a year in Burgundian barrels. The wine is bottled without fining and with minimal sulfur additions, resulting in a lively expression that showcases the terroir and natural winemaking approach of this respected Jura domaine.
