2020 Sparr Riesling Brand Legende Grand Cru

From the granitic soils of the legendary Brand Grand Cru vineyard, overlooking the historic village of Turckheim in Alsace. This site, known for its sunny southern exposure and high altitude positioning, produces bold Riesling characterized by high acidity and a distinctive flinty, mineral character. The Sparr family's six-acre parcel, acquired in the 1960s, sits directly adjacent to Zind-Humbrecht's vines. Biodynamically grown and fermented whole cluster, the wine is aged on fine lees in stainless steel, resulting in a clean, expressive expression of this exceptional terroir.
