2020 Sparr Riesling Schoenenbourg Revelation

This Alsace Grand Cru Riesling is exclusively sourced from the Schoenenbourg vineyard in France, where old vines—some 60 years in age—are cultivated at around 380 meters above sea level. The vineyard’s terroir, characterized by a unique mix of gypsum, Keuper marl, dolomite, and small pebbles, benefits from a micro‐climate that is especially suited to Riesling production. Vinification involves aging on fine lees in stainless steel, a technique that reflects the region’s meticulous winemaking practices. Additionally, the vineyard overlooks the villages of Riquewihr and Zellenberg, further emphasizing its distinguished geographical setting.
