2021 Coupe Roses Minervois Granaxa

A Grenache cuvée raised in second and third-year oak barrels with distinctly earthy overtones in the red fruit. The Grenache grows in the stoniest soils on the high mountain plateau above La Caunette. This wine reflects the cool mountain microclimate with excellent acidity and freshness. Grenache offers a beautiful expression where candied cherry dominates, perfectly melted with old barrels that gives it coffee and chocolate aromas, and supported in its build with a touch of Syrah. Red wine with a rich and intense style featuring fruity nose with cherry and blackcurrant notes, framed by supple, velvety palate. The wine shows fruit and freshness that successfully counterbalance its power.
