2021 Domaine Hauvette Alpilles Rosé Petra

This Provence rosé is produced from old vines cultivated on calcic, stony soils and managed with biodynamic practices. In one notable expression—the cuvée Pétra 2021—the blend comprises 70% Cinsault, 15% Grenache, and 15% Syrah, while other expressions include varietals such as Cabernet from Les Baux de Provence. The grapes are pressed and allowed to ferment spontaneously with indigenous yeasts, and the wine is raised in concrete eggs with sur lie aging. No sulfur is added during winemaking, emphasizing a production approach that reflects its unique terroir and traditional techniques.
