2021 Emidio Pepe Trebbiano d'Abruzzo

Emidio Pepe, a benchmark producer in Abruzzo since 1964, crafts this age-worthy Trebbiano d'Abruzzo from ancient native vines in the Colline Teramane through traditional and biodynamic practices. The proximity to the sea imparts distinctive minerality and sapidity to this typically neutral grape variety, transforming it into a complex, elegant wine. The wine has an elegant and austere expression when young with great minerality, and is truly age-worthy, able to evolve with time. After a few years it gains complexity, volume and profundity. Emidio Pepe has a long heritage in producing expressive wines and releasing only the best bottles from a vast cellar collection.
