2021 Ganevat Le Courage VDF Blanc

This Riesling cuvée is produced from old Alsatian vines planted on steep granite soils in the Jura region. Sourced from a family‑owned, biodynamic estate with a heritage dating back to 1650 and overseen by Jean‑François Ganevat at Domaine Ganevat, the grapes are meticulously hand‐harvested and gently processed through direct pressing. Fermentation is carried out with native yeasts without fining, filtration, or added sulfites, and no new oak has been used since 2006. White wines are aged on the lees for an extended period—ranging from a minimum of two years in demi‑muids to three and a half years in foudres—to preserve traditional winemaking techniques and to authentically express terroir under the Vin de France appellation.
