2021 Garlider Weinberg Dolomiten Blauburgunder
Winemaker Christian Kerschbaumer is the only grower in the Isarco Valley who cultivates Pinot Nero (Blauburgunder in German) vines. The estate vines grow at altitude, between 1,620 and 2,400 feet, on steep slopes. Cool evenings and warm days in this cooler climate push Pinot Nero to perfect ripeness, showcasing a traditional approach typical of the Blauburgunder or Pinot Noir varietal. Aromas of fresh red berry, violets, red plum, light spice, some forest floor. Bright, airy, juicy with refined, silky tannins. A ruby to garnet red wine with velvet-like tannins and intense nose reminiscent of forest fruits. Persistent and full palate. Serving temperature: 14-16°C.
