2021 Grottafumata Terre Siciliane Carricante "Lato Sud"

A skin contact white wine from the southern slopes of Mount Etna, produced as part of a holistic farm on steep volcanic slopes. The blend consists of approximately 70% Carricante and 30% Catarratto, with small percentages of Minnella, Grecanico, Terribile, Inzolia, and Coda di Volpe. The Carricante undergoes four days of skin contact, resulting in a luxurious golden hue and distinctive characteristics reflecting the lava stone soils and direct sun exposure on blackened slopes. This textured, smoky wine showcases the unique terroir of the Terre Siciliane IGT region. Do not serve too cold; allow it to warm slightly in the glass to extract the full aromatic profile.
