2021 Subject to Change Wine Co. 'Dreamboat' Red

Dreamboat is a natural field blend made exclusively from all the red and white grape varieties grown at Lovett Vineyard. The wine is produced using an integrated vinification approach that does not segregate the diverse varietals, reflecting the unique terroir of the vineyard. Its deep‐pink hue and unconventional production render it open to interpretation as red, pink, or rosé, and it is best served chilled.

Farming

Grapes are hand harvested from responsibly-farmed vineyards, with whites picked a few days before reds and no additives or subtractions applied.

Harvest

Whites are picked days before the reds; they are de-stemmed and soaked to begin maceration. Reds are added later—Mourvedre as whole clusters and Petite Sirah de-stemmed and soaked for two days.

Fermentation

The blend macerates for five days before pressing, then undergoes a long, slow fermentation.

Aging

The wine is aged on its lees in 225L neutral oak barrels for 7 months without stirring; barrels are topped every two weeks. The process employs natural winemaking with minimal intervention, and the wine is unfined, unfiltered, and made with no sulfur added.
