2021 Tessier Winery AS Chardonnay
The 2021 vintage is produced from certified organic Chardonnay fruit sourced from a vineyard situated on an old river bed with rocky soils and large river stones in a valley influenced by cooling ocean breezes from Monterey Bay. The fruit, harvested on 09/24/2021 at 19 brix, was destemmed and allowed a 6‐day period of skin contact—a technique that contributes to a deeper hue compared to traditional Chardonnay. Following this, the must was pressed into stainless steel tanks for fermentation and subsequently aged on its lees for 4 months, employing extended contact and oxidative techniques to refine the wine’s profile.
