2022 Bernard Baudry Chinon Blanc Le Domaine

This 100% Chenin Blanc is sourced from several parcels on clay and limestone slopes in and around Cravant, with additional plots on clay with silex soils on the plateau above La Croix Boissee. The young vines produce a wine characterized by Loire Chenin's distinctive high acidity and chalky minerality. Grapes are hand-harvested and undergo a long, slow fermentation in large 500-liter oak barrels until completely dry, with less than 2 grams of residual sugar. The resulting wine showcases bright natural acidity and vibrancy typical of Loire whites, balancing ripe fruit with pronounced minerality.
