2022 Coupe Roses Bara Gwin Rouge Minervois

Bara Gwin is produced in Languedoc-Roussillon by a certified organic and biodynamic, family-owned winery located in La Caunette. The vineyards of Château Coupe Roses, managed by Françoise le Calvez and Pascal Frissant, lie on a plateau around the villages of Minerve and La Caunette in the highest region of Minervois, ranging from 750 to 1,350 feet above sea level. Cool nights and a long growing season characterize the terroir, which reflects the influence of both karst and clay soils. The wine is crafted from a blend of 35% Cinsault, 35% Grenache, and 30% Syrah and is made using natural winemaking techniques—with no additions of sulfites or commercial yeast—and is co-fermented in stainless steel after a 10-day maceration followed by light filtration at bottling.
