2022 Domaine Pierre Richard Poulsard

The Domaine Pierre Richard Poulsard comes from the Vernois at the heart of the Jura region in France, where the Richard family has been making wine since purchasing this domaine from a neighbor in 1919. Now managed by Pierre and his son Vincent, the estate comprises 23 acres of vines. This Poulsard is sourced from younger vines aged 15-30 years planted in clay, limestone, and marl soils at 300 meters elevation. The low-yielding vines are selectively hand-harvested and undergo 10 days of maceration, followed by 12 months aging in stainless steel. The wine is bottled without any added sulphur, emphasizing natural expression.
