2022 Ducroux Morgon

Thibault Ducroux, who grew up in a winemaking family and was inspired by natural wines, sources this Morgon from two vineyards under long-term contracts: Les Charmes with 40-year-old vines and Corcelette with 50-year-old vines. The Corcelette parcel sits on a south-east facing granite hill with pink sandy granite soils and schist stones. Farmed organically and biodynamically, the wine is native fermented, aged in concrete for eight months, and bottled without fining or filtration with minimal sulphur. This concentrated, deep, and mineral wine exemplifies the seriousness of cru Beaujolais and is ageworthy for further vintages.
