2022 Ezio Poggio Caespes Timorasso Colli Tortonesi Terre di Libarn

Caespes Timorasso is produced by Ezio Poggio from four separate vineyard plots in the Terre di Libarna subzone of Colli Tortonesi, situated at high elevation (450m) in a recovered historical viticulture territory. The alluvial soils and extreme conditions with cool summer nights contribute to a cooler microclimate that allows for extended hang time and later harvests. The wine matures for 8-12 months in steel tanks at controlled temperature with permanence on fine lees and programmed batonnage. This vertical wine exhibits marked acidity and Timorasso's characteristic green herbal notes, representing the noblest expression of this distinctive territory.
