2022 Ghëddo Barbera d'Alba DOC

A traditional Barbera d'Alba DOC Superiore from Ghëddo, a small producer with just three hectares under vine in Piedmont's Langhe region. Founded in 2014 by Giovanni Pippia and Mattia Benedetti, the winery produces high-energy Barbera wines from organically-managed vineyards. The grapes are sourced from two vineyards in Monforte d'Alba at approximately 250 meters elevation. Barbera is the hardy staple grape of Piedmont, accounting for around 55% of the region's wine production, known for its deep ruby color, low tannin, and bracing high acidity.
