2022 Le Berne Vino Nobile di Montepulciano

The Natalini family's story represents a classic generational transition from farming to winemaking, beginning at Podere le Bèrne in the early 1960s with four generations dedicated to traditional, authentic Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. This wine from the single vineyard of Cervognano showcases one of Tuscany's most exceptional terroirs for Sangiovese, displaying the distinct personality of this often-overlooked Tuscan appellation. Made from 100% Sangiovese (locally known as Prugnolo Gentile clone), it undergoes long maceration on the lees with intense pumping over and punching down initially, followed by an extended static quiescent stage. The wine balances finesse with structure, featuring a dense core of minerality and acidity characteristic of the appellation.
