2022 Mazzoni Vino Bianco Iris Erbaluce

This wine originates from a historic micro-region in northern Piedmont, nestled in the shadow of the Alps. It is crafted exclusively from 100% Erbaluce grapes— a native variety of the Alpine hills—grown in estate vineyards located in Ghemme and Cavaglio d’Agogna on southwest-facing slopes at an elevation of 900 feet. Under the guidance of pioneering producers such as Tiziano Mazzoni, the vineyards are carefully tended on limited acreage to support a production of select, limited-release bottles. The wine undergoes a defined vinification process that includes six months of tank aging on fine lees, followed by an additional two months of bottle aging, reflecting a commitment to traditional techniques while affirming the region’s storied heritage.
