2022 Pino Roman Naranjo

A white blend comprising 50% Muscat of Alexandria and 50% Torontel is sourced from 60+ year-old, own-rooted vines grown on granitic soils at 161 m above sea level in the Itata Valley of southern Chile. Grapes come from a 3.5-hectare vineyard in Trehuaco as well as select sites in the region. They are hand-harvested and destemmed before being placed in very old Chilean amphorae, where they undergo spontaneous fermentation without temperature control. The wine is then allowed 10 months of skin contact and is bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal added SO₂.
