2022 Pommier Bourgogne Rouge

Dry, still red wine from the Bourgogne AOC appellation in Burgundy. Produced from meticulously sourced fruit from south-facing parcels in Champvallon near Joigny. The vineyard parcels are steep hillsides not prone to frost, situated on flint and clay soils. The 'Grain de Survie' series was created out of necessity after the Pommiers experienced back-to-back vintages with total crop loss due to adverse climatic conditions, allowing them to continue making wine while maintaining their winemaking tradition.
