2022 Sagona Primi Passi

Sagona, managed by Daniele Corrotti in Toscana, produces the I.G.T. designated natural white wine Primi Passi using a classic Toscano blend composed primarily of Malvasia (noted as Malvasia Lunga in one description and Malvasia bianca in another) with a minor proportion of Trebbiano. The vineyards are situated in a hilly, interior area of the Arezzo province at approximately 500 meters above sea level—in locales referenced as Loro Ciuffenna and Pratomagno. The estate, located in a narrow valley surrounded by dry stone walls and integrated into a diverse ecosystem that includes olive trees, fruit orchards, and other crops, employs direct pressing of the fruit in steel tanks for fermentation and aging, reflecting a natural winemaking approach.
