2022 Tenuta La Viola Romagna Sangiovese Il Colombarone

Single vineyard Sangiovese representing the pinnacle of TLV production from the hills of Bertinoro in Romagna. Made from middle-aged vines, this cru was the estate's first production in 1998, making it ideal for introducing friends to this grape variety. This microzone is known for its calcareous soils and maritime influences, producing wines of finesse, balance, and aromatic clarity. The label depicts 'via Colombarone,' the road rising from the plains to Bertinoro's vineyards. Bright ruby-red color with violet nuances; intense and expressive aromas of bright cherry fruit supported by elegant violet, spicy and minerally hints. Full and rich on the palate, with zestful, juicy fruit; rich and persistent, savoury and tasty. Harmonious and well-balanced. A wine that exemplifies both varietal character and regional terroir of Romagna Sangiovese.
