2022 Wetzer Kékfrankos

Peter's Kékfrankos is produced from 20-30 year old vines that ripen late, often picked in late October into November. Grapes are destemmed and fermented in open vats for 18-22 days on the skins with manual punching down, then aged in barrels. Despite the late harvest, the wine maintains bright acidity and balance, carrying a few grams of residual sugar and just over 13% alcohol.
