2023 Christina Rosé

100% Zweigelt rosé from the Holzweg vineyard in Austria's Pannonian climate region, where cool winds from the River Danube contribute to ripe yet fresh character. Christina converted the estate to organic farming in 2013 after growing up in the vineyards. Hand-harvested grapes undergo direct pressing to stainless steel with only a few hours of skin contact for color. Temperature-controlled fermentation lasts about two weeks, followed by a rest period and six weeks on lees before bottling unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur addition. The vineyard's red gravel and loess soils contribute to the wine's natural expression.
