2023 Clos du-Tue-Boeuf Cheverny Rouge Rouillon

Cheverny Rouillon is a natural red wine produced in the Cheverny region of the Loire from a 50/50 blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay. Sourced from a 1.9‐hectare estate vineyard (Clos du Tue-Boeuf), the grapes are farmed organically and hand-harvested from clay‐limestone soils noted for their reddish tint and iron‐rich clay. The wine is vinified using whole-cluster, semi‐carbonic maceration with spontaneous fermentation by native yeasts (without added sulfur) and is aged for 6 months in used demi-muids before being bottled unfiltered, in accordance with AOC Cheverny standards.
