2023 Clos du-Tue-Boeuf VDF Blanc Brin de Chevre
Brin de Chèvre ('goat's hay') is a Menu Pineau-based white wine from Clos du Tue-Boeuf, sourced from two neighboring parcels planted in 1937 and 1950. The original old vines constitute approximately 70% of the wine, with the remainder from massale-selection replantings. The vineyard is planted on sticky clay-flint soil with a cold, windy exposure, and is typically the latest harvested of all Tue-Boeuf vineyards. The wine is intentionally declassified as Vin de France. The estate, located in Les Montils within the Cheverny AOC, has been a pioneer of natural winemaking in the Loire Valley.
