2023 Domaine de Sulauze Chapelle Laique Blanc

Chapelle Laïque blanc is a single-parcel Vermentino from Domaine de Sulauze in the western Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence, named after the Roman stone chapel in the vineyard. Made from cuttings gifted by Jean-Charles Abatucci from Corsica, the vines are 15 years old and planted in calcareous sandy lauzes rich in marine fossils with full east-facing exposure. The limestone-dominant terroir, composed of calcaire, coquillier, and sableux soils, imparts pronounced minerality, tension, and finesse to this terroir-driven white wine.
