2023 Ducroux Morgon

Natural Beaujolais from a young producer influenced by the legendary Jules Chauvet. This Morgon showcases pure Gamay expression from old vines rooted in schistous soils. Everything is hand-harvested and fermented using carbonic maceration with indigenous yeasts. Bottled without fining or filtering, with minimal sulfur added only if necessary. The wine delivers wild plums, wild blueberries, crushed florals, pink peppercorn, and salinity through a textured palate with grippy, fine, long tannins. The finish reflects the terroir's minerality and delivers the crunchy, vibrant character that defines the Cru, representing an honest and focused approach to natural winemaking.
