2023 Freire Lobo Encruzado

Freire Lobo VIGNO White is produced in the Dão region using indigenous grape varieties. In certain expressions, the wine is crafted as a blend featuring Encruzado, Bical, Cerceal, Fernão Pires, and Barcelo, while other versions are made exclusively from Encruzado. The winemaking approach emphasizes minimal intervention and respects traditional practices, including fermentation conducted in lagares. Some vintages are subtly integrated with light oak aging, whereas others are vinified without barrel influence in order to preserve the natural characteristics of the grapes. The wine is bottled at 13% ABV, reflecting a production philosophy rooted in regional authenticity and artisanal craftsmanship.
