2023 GD Vajra Dolcetto

The 2023 Dolcetto d'Alba is produced by the historic G.D. Vajra estate in Vergne, founded in 1972 by Aldo and Milena Vajra, with family vineyards planted since 1947. This 100% Dolcetto wine is sourced from the Coste di Vergen vineyard (planted in 1979) and Fossati vineyard (planted in 1985). The estate holds prized holdings in Bricco delle Viole. Historically cultivated in prime land just above Nebbiolo vineyards, this wine is crafted in a traditional spirit with a focus on freshness and vibrancy, yet possesses the structure to age. The wine displays a deep, brilliant violet color and is described as elegant yet sturdy.
