This Pic Saint Loup red wine is crafted from a terroir of scree and limestone chippings, which contributes to its distinctive character. Farming

Raisonnée (sustainable viticulture). Vines are cultivated with respect for the living world, grassed over and enriched with seedlings that encourage biodiversity, limiting treatments to what is strictly necessary.
 

Harvest

Partially manual. Destemmed and crushed grapes.
 

Fermentation

Temperature controlled stainless steel vats (max 32°C). Gentle extraction and long maceration (25 to 30 days of vatting) to refine the tannins.
 

Aging

Mourvèdre aged in 2 and 3 wine barrels. Other grape varieties aged 10 months in stainless steel vats for the free-run wine.
