2023 Lapierre Morgon N
This Morgon is produced at the Lapierre estate using traditional Beaujolais methods. Vinification employs semi‐carbonic maceration entirely without added SO₂—with maceration durations reported between 10 and 36 days—and, for some lots, a subsequent aging period of approximately nine months in 216‐liter barrels. The wine is sourced from vineyards in the Morgon appellation, including selections from exceptional vintages and the domaine’s oldest vines (over 100 years), notably from the Côte du Py and the lieu-dit “Le Douby” near Fleurie. The 2023 vintage has been released in several bottling runs—the first completed in March 2024 with further releases planned until September—and is designated as “Cuvee N – Sans Soufre,” indicating its sulfur-free processing.
