2023 Matassa Coume de olla VDF Blanc

Matassa Coume de l'Olla Blanc is a single vineyard natural wine from Roussillon, France, produced by winemaker Tom Lubbe from 45-year-old vines on limestone and clay soils. This organic and vegan certified wine is a blend of Macabeu, Muscat d'Alexandrie, and Muscat Petit Grains. The grapes undergo two weeks of whole-cluster maceration before spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts and aging for 8 months in concrete vats. Bottled without filtering or added sulfites, this orange wine exhibits rocky texture and minerality characteristic of the extended skin contact.
