2023 Matassa Rouge Coume de olla VDF

From Tom Lubbe's single vineyard Coume de l'Olla, this co-fermented blend showcases 50-55 year-old vines of Grenache Noir, Grenache Gris, and Macabeu planted on clay and limestone soils rich in iron. Grapes spontaneously co-ferment and undergo whole-bunch maceration for 2-3 days to 2 weeks before pressing to concrete vats for 8 months of élevage. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, with no additional SO2. Serve with a chill to best appreciate this distinctive Matassa expression.
