2023 Monteraponi Chianti Classico

Monteraponi's Chianti Classico is a benchmark expression from the hills of Radda, crafted from Sangiovese with Canaiolo. The vines grow at approximately 600 meters elevation in soils rich with calcareous stones, alberese, galestro, marl, and schist. Fermentation occurs in cement tanks with extended maceration of at least 25 days, followed by 16 months of aging exclusively in large oak casks. The wine is bottled without fining or filtration, preserving its purity and terroir expression from these high-elevation, rocky limestone vineyards that impart distinctive aromatic lift and elegance to the final wine.
