2023 Tenuta Le Colonne Vermentino
Vermentino Costa Toscana IGT Tenuta Le Colonne is crafted exclusively from 100% Vermentino grapes grown in the estate’s vineyards on the Tyrrhenian Coast at 15 metres above sea level. The vineyards, situated on southwest‐facing slopes with predominantly sandy soils and cultivated under organic practices, benefit from a terroir that imparts notable minerality. Grapes are typically harvested toward the end of August and subjected to a gentle pressing. Fermentation is conducted in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 18°C for approximately 12 days, followed by a refinement period of around 3 months during which the wine is aged on fine lees prior to filtration and bottling.
